So it’s that time of year again-the summer has gone by so incredibly fast and now it is time to start preparing for the beginning of a new school year. Today is my last day working here at the PrissyPoofs office and I am very sad to be leaving! I have learned so much from Laura and Deborah about owning and running your own business and I’m excited to put this invaluable knowledge and experience to use, not only towards my business classes in the fall, but also my future plans and career. I have loved every minute that I have worked with these two lovely ladies and I am excited to see what new and exciting things they will do next! I hope that everyone has a wonderful start to the school year and a happy fall. Is it really almost August?

I feel awful that I have been neglecting my intern duties and have not updated everybody on what’s been going on here at PrissyPoofs over the last few weeks. I hope that everybody had a wonderful 4th of July-I would love to hear what yall did. I was in Los Angeles on vacation with my family and though the trip was a nice change of pace, I am very happy to be back home in lovely South Carolina
I don’t know where the summer has gone! I’ll be going back to school in less than a month and I am truly going to miss working here at PrissyPoofs. I have learned so much from Laura and Deborah-everything from how to deal with an order form to the makings of a “poof” from beginning to end. After seeing them in action here at work, I wonder if maybe one day I could open my own business, I guess we will see!

Update from the Intern’s Desk

So it’s the middle of the week all ready-can you believe it? What is it about summer that all the days seem to blend together? I don’t know if that’s because there’s SO much going on that a week seems like a chaotic blend of events or if it’s been that kind of week where you can spend the entire day at the pool and then the days just seems to drift together.
Here at the PrissyPoofs office it has definitely been one of those crazy weeks! We are getting ready for the Fourth of July season coming up (be sure to check out the PatrioticPoof) and are also being presented with a couple of options for some reviews from several companies/blogs-which is very exciting!
It’s hard to believe that June is almost gone! I hope that everybody has some fun vacation plans in the works and will get a chance to enjoy a little R&R

Getting settled in at the PrissyPoofs office

It’s Friday here and I have just finished my first week as the intern here at PrissyPoofs. I am having so much fun and have already learned so much from Deborah and Laura! So far, I have been working on establishing some contacts from various magazines, websites, etc. to hopefully spread the word about this adorable product. We’re also working on updating the PrissyPoofs Facebook page and can be followed on Twitter now! Hello all! My name is Lucy and I am the new intern here at PrissyPoofs! To tell you a little about myself, I am an upcoming sophomore at the University of South Carolina and am majoring in marketing with a minor in fashion merchandising. My very best friend met Laura’s husband at a major golf event in Greenville and being the good friend that she is, referred me to Laura, who was kind enough to offer me an internship for the summer.I am so excited to begin working with Laura and Deborah and cannot wait to learn all that I possibly can from them about all aspects of this wonderful company. I hope to update this blog every so often with what I am learning from these two lovely ladies, any news from the PrissyPoofs office and hopefully some specials so you can start thinking about what your little princess is going to be for Halloween this year!

January brings about lots of meetings around our offices. We begin discussing our hopes, goals, dreams for the new year. We also decide who we are going to work with by way of specials. Happy, Happy 2008!

Can you believe it! Another year in the history books…
I don’t know about you but this year I decided not to make any resolutions. It seems in the past few years, my resolutions barely made it out of the gate and then I felt guilty the next 11 and a half months for not sticking to them…NOT THIS YEAR! I decided no resolutions and I can’t tell you how happy I am! No guilt hanging over me, no promises broken, no explanations of why I couldn’t commit to not eating those M&Ms in the office

So today, I wish each of you an amazing year full of firsts, lasts, and doing all those fabulous things that come with a new year!

PrissyPoofs has lots of new exciting stuff happening around our offices for 2008! We will be debuting yet another few fantastically fabulous “Poofs” as well as adding some awesome tights & leggings to our apparel section! We enter into 2008 with awesome customers, great new styles, and the ability to help little Princesses around the world enjoy the world of imagination.
