I feel awful that I have been neglecting my intern duties and have not updated everybody on what’s been going on here at PrissyPoofs over the last few weeks. I hope that everybody had a wonderful 4th of July-I would love to hear what yall did. I was in Los Angeles on vacation with my family and though the trip was a nice change of pace, I am very happy to be back home in lovely South Carolina
I don’t know where the summer has gone! I’ll be going back to school in less than a month and I am truly going to miss working here at PrissyPoofs. I have learned so much from Laura and Deborah-everything from how to deal with an order form to the makings of a “poof” from beginning to end. After seeing them in action here at work, I wonder if maybe one day I could open my own business, I guess we will see!

So it’s the middle of the week all ready-can you believe it? What is it about summer that all the days seem to blend together? I don’t know if that’s because there’s SO much going on that a week seems like a chaotic blend of events or if it’s been that kind of week where you can spend the entire day at the pool and then the days just seems to drift together.
Here at the PrissyPoofs office it has definitely been one of those crazy weeks! We are getting ready for the Fourth of July season coming up (be sure to check out the PatrioticPoof) and are also being presented with a couple of options for some reviews from several companies/blogs-which is very exciting!
It’s hard to believe that June is almost gone! I hope that everybody has some fun vacation plans in the works and will get a chance to enjoy a little R&R

It’s Friday here and I have just finished my first week as the intern here at PrissyPoofs. I am having so much fun and have already learned so much from Deborah and Laura! So far, I have been working on establishing some contacts from various magazines, websites, etc. to hopefully spread the word about this adorable product. January brings about lots of meetings around our offices. We begin discussing our hopes, goals, dreams for the new year. We also decide who we are going to work with by way of specials. Some of our favs are our wonderful customers, schools, churches, large organizations like Susan G Komen and American Heart Assocation.

Laura is out of commission for a few days so here I am–Deborah. I am the behind the scenes girl who does all of the jobs no one likes–accounting, inventory, etc—-the strange thing is I actually do like them!
Anyway, I have 2 boys who are at camp this week, one for the first time. I finally have a week to spend doing all adult things: reuniting with my husband, actually having a clean house for more than 5 minutes, girls’ night, etc. You would think that I would be having the time of my life. However, it is strangely quiet at my house, and honestly I am much more comfortable in the total chaos that the boys create. I guess it is true–the grass is always greener—until you actually reach the grass and realize it has the same weeds you have.
Anyway, I am on the final countdown–pick-up day is tomorrow.
I am sure that I will give them a HUGE hug and then sterilize them from head to toe!
